Code Geass: Akito of the Exiled - The Wyvern Arrives - Anime Review

As I’m a fan of the director Akane Kazuki, this spin off was on my anime radar, and I thought that this first episode was solid. I thought that character designs were good, the music was also good, and the 3DCG mecha was excellent. I also thought that the action sequences were intense and well-done IMO. The only complaint I have with this first episode is that the main cast members seemed to have a little of plot armor, in that they were also right, in everything they did. I thought that seeing Suzaku and Julius Kingsley near the end of this movie, IMO was good, but hopefully these two characters aren’t sidelined too much. It seems that this movie series takes place between season one and season two of the Code Geass TV series. Overall, I enjoyed this spin-off series a lot, and I can’t wait to see how the remaining four OVA episodes will play out.
