RE-cycle of the Penguindrum Part 1 - Anime Review

As I’m a fan of the director Kunihiko Ikuhara, I decided to check out this movie. I thought that this movie was solid. I thought that the new scenes in this movie made this movie easier to understand the plot, while also giving development to the cast of characters. This movie goes for about two hours long. The plot of this movie deals with a set of siblings trying to save the life of a dying sister, where a spirit inside their sister tells her brothers to find the mysterious "Penguindrum."

I thought that the scenes involving live action and 2D digital animation looked fantastic. Despite this movie not giving the audience the full experience like the TV series, this movie IMO is still much better than most anime compilation movies, based on a TV series. Overall, I can’t wait to watch the second/next compilation movie, in this anime franchise.
