Tokyo Godfathers - Anime Review

As I’m a big fan of the late great Satoshi Kon and all of his works, I will admit that this movie is a good Christmas day movie to watch. I will admit that this movie starring homeless people sounds like a story that I won’t like, but Satoshi Kon can make movie magic. I thought that this Christmas tragic/comedy/adventure movie is very good. I thought that the three main leads of Hana, Gin, and Miyuki get very good character development in this movie, that IMO that the character development could put most anime TV series to shame, in this aspect. I thought that the eighty-eight-minute runtime, was IMO the perfect runtime for the length of this movie. This movie developed the trio of characters that is unlikely to see the light of day plot wise today, as only Satoshi Kon IMO is the only director that could make the audience feel for homeless cast of characters. I thought that the way that this movie ended, was unexpected IMO, as Miyuki gets a happy ending, which she deserved IMO. Overall, I enjoyed this movie a lot, though I would have to say that this movie is my third favourite Satoshi Kon animated movie.
