Macross 2: The Movie Lovers Again-Anime Review

As I’m a big fan of the original Macross TV series, I thought that I would review, this approximately one hour and twenty-minute movie. As Macross 2 OVA and movie didn’t have any involvement of Shoji Kawamori in the product, I still had a good time. Macross 2 revolves around the characters Hibiki, Silvie and Ishita. I won’t go into details about how this movie plays out, but as this movie is a product of the 90’s, I still like the baggy clothing, and big shoulder pads. This movie was drawn by made, so the mecha action scenes are all hand drawn, and not 3D CGI. As I’m a big Silvie fan, of the love triangle, I thought that the best girl won in the end. I thought that the music of this movie was solid, the love triangle was interesting, and there’s itano circus, in-regards to the mecha combat. Overall, I found this installment of the Macross franchise interesting, unique and fun.
