Code Geass: Akito of the Exiled - The Brightness Falls - Anime Review

This OVA episode starts off with Shin retreating from combat from the previous OVA episode. After Shin disappears from battle in this OVA episode, this OVA episode has the five main leads not being picked up from their mission. After the five main leads realize that they have no money and transport back to their base, they meet some gypsies. These old gypsies ladies take Ryo, Anyo, Akito, Lelia and Yukia into their current lodging, where they put them to work, in exchange for board. There is some fan-service when the old gypsies ladies undress the female leads, and make Akito, Ryo, Anyo, Lelia and Yukia wear gypsie clothes. In the gypsie camp, this is where Akito and Lelia start developing feelings for one another. This OVA episode also features the background of Lelia, and her past. I thought that the Suzuka, Shin and Julius Kingsley subplot in this OVA episode gathers some steam in this OVA episode. I thought that the plan that Julius Kingsley plots in this episode, was interesting from a plot point of view. Overall, I thought that this spinoff OVA series so far was been consistently good. Hopefully this OVA series can stick it’s landing in the final OVA episode and wrap up its plot points.
