Utena Movie: Adolence of Utena - Anime Review

As I’m a big fan of this franchise, I thought that I would kindly review this movie. As it has been many years since I have viewed this movie, I thought that this movie is as good as I can remember viewing this movie for the first time. This movie goes for roughly one hundred minutes, and it simply is a master class in summarizing the TV series of Revolution Girl Utena. IMO this move is visually stunning, has great music, great animation and character designs, and finally great characters. I still think that the plot point where Utena changes into a car, makes sense plot wise. My favourite scene in this movie is where Utena is dancing with Anthy in the rose garden at night. I thought that the various cameo appearances of cow Nanami, Chu-Chu, the black rose saga elevator scene was a nice little touch, that I enjoyed in this movie. I thought that even the 2DCG looked fantastic, and the only element of this movie that I would say is that there’s nudity in this movie, but it’s not detailed. Overall, I enjoyed rewatching this movie, and I can’t wait to rewatch the TV series of Revolutio Gorl Utena.
