Macross Froniter The Movie: The False Songstress - Anime Review

As I’m a big fan of the original Macross TV series and movie, I thought that this movie was solid overall. I thought that the Sheryl x Alto moments saved this movie from being boring and predictable. I thought that the 3DCG looked great against the 2D digital animation. There was plenty of fan-service, songs, itano circus missile fire and I thought that the love triangle that Macross was sort of a bit underdeveloped a little, IMO. This movie went for a run-time of one hour and fifty-nine minutes. The element of this movie that I didn’t like were that the love triangle cast members didn’t feel like that they would die or feel danger, as IMO that the three character of the love triangle felt safe throughout this film. I can’t wait to watch the sequel movie shortly to see who won in this love triangle, and see if the production team can stick the landing.
