Neon Genesis Evangelion - The Shinji Ikari Raising Project - Manga Review

As I’m a fan of the Evangelion franchise, and I bought this eighteen-volume manga set a couple of years ago. This manga is based on the world from the famous last episode, in the Evangelion TV series. This manga contains lots of female fanservice and nudity in it. This manga set also features the female character Mana Kirishi, from the Girl Friend of Steel Sega video game. I thought it was interesting that Asuka’s mother works at Nerv also, in this manga series. I thought that Osamu Takahashi did a great job on the story, and art of this manga series. This manga doesn’t feature Shinji, Rei and Asuka in there Evangelion units, but this manga does feature a couple of angels in it. This Evangelion manga series is mainly high school hijinks. My favourite high school scenario from this manga set, is when Asuka and Rei put on a play for their class, and Asuka and Rei play the main leads of Romeo and Juliet, and they kiss one another. Overall, this manga series is unique compared to the Evangelion TV series, but I thought that the cast of characters are the reason why I bought this manga set. I would only recommend this manga set to big fans of the Evangelion franchise.
