X/1999 - Anime Review

As I’m a fan of the manga group CLAMP, I thought that this adaption of the manga series was interesting to say the least. Despite the manga being on indifferent hiatuses, I thought that the production values of this anime are simply astounding. I thought that studio MadHouse did a fantastic job of animation production, with mainly IMO director Yoshiaki Kawajiri doing a fantastic job of bring the manga to life. As the cast of characters in this anime series is a lot, IMO all if not all the cast got good characterization, despite having only twenty-four episodes to play with this anime TV series. IMO, director Yoshiaki Kawajiri is the most valuable player in this production IMO, as Yoshiaki directs, wrote the script and also storyboarded this anime. Overall, this dark fantasy anime holds a special place for me, and I would recommend this anime to fans of the manga and fans of the manga creators CLAMP.
