Dragon Ball Z Super - Broly - Anime Review

As I’m a casual fan of Dragon Ball Z Super, I thought that this movie was average, in general. I thought that the one hour and forty-one-minute runtime of this, was about the perfect length for this story. I thought that the new Cheelai was actually a good foil with Broly, by movie’s end. This movie starts forty-one years ago on the planet Vegeta. I thought that it was interesting seeing King Cold again. I thought it was interesting that King Cold gave Vegeta’s father five hundred scouters to King Vegeta. I thought it was nice seeing Bardock and Gine. As the second half of this movie is just pure fighting, the four main fights are: Vegeta vs. Broly, Goku vs. Broly, Freeza vs. Broly and Gogeta vs Broly. As I prefer Dragonball Z’s movie eights character design of Broly, I’ll get what I can take. I thought that this movie was okay at the end, though I will admit that the 3DCG yet again is noticeable, and is jarring against the 2D digital animation. I really wonder why Toei can’t do passable 3DCG backgrounds, when other anime properties like Sailor Moon, One Piece and Detective Conan have really good 3DCG. It’s real shame IMO that the Dragonball franchise is poor in this presentation issue.
