Dragon Ball Z - Movie Fourteen - Battle of Gods - Anime Review

As I’m a casual fan of the Dragon Ball franchise, I thought that this movie was solid, except for the 3DCG effects. As the runtime for this movie is approximately one hour and forty five minutes, the majority of this movie IMO was good. I thought that it was great seeing new Dragon Ball characters in this universe, and I thought that it was great seeing the Kaioshin’s finally made an appearance in a Dragon Ball movie. I thought that the character designs of Beerus and Whis were intriguing. I thought it was great seeing the Dragon Ball cast all together celebrating Bulma’s 38th birthday. I also thought it was great seeing super sayian three Gotenks and Goku in this movie. I thought that the 3DCG special effects around Goku in this movie were bad, as IMO it didn’t look seemingly with the 2D digital animation.

I thought that the insert song playing when Goku and Beerus were fighting one another were good, as IMO it enhanced the scene on screen. Overall, I thought this movie was average at best due to the poor 3DCG effects, in this movie. I thought that the ending credits showing the important events in the Dragon Ball franchise in manga format was a good way to end this movie, IMO.
