Kaleido Star - Season One - Anime Review
As I’m a big fan of anime director Junichi Sato, I was immediately interested in watching this anime series from 2003. As this anime is produced from anime studio Gonzo, I held fears that the animation for this anime TV series may be bad, but I was surprised that this anime TV series animation was average at best, due to having comedy, and super deformed character characters as part of this anime TV series. My favourite character from this anime TV series is Layla Hamilton. I won’t go into detail why Lalya is my favourite character from this anime TV series, but after watching the last episode of this TV series, you will understand why. As this anime TV series strength is its characters, music, character development, setting and costumes of the cast when a new play is starting at Kaleido stage. Despite this anime TV series having no fighting/action scenes, the budget of the animation went into the circus performances, and you can see why. There are some limited animations still images used as shortcuts used in this anime series, so if you can’t deal with that, then I would say this anime TV series isn’t for you. This anime is a personal favourite of mine, and I can’t wat to see how the cast develops in season two (entitled New Wings) of this anime TV series.
