Haikara-san ga Tooru-Movie 1- Anime Review

As I’m a fan of the original series that this movie is based on, I thought that I would watch this modern retelling of this shoujo series. This movie deals with the relationship between Benio and Shinobu. The big draw for me of this movie, is the personality of Benio. I thought that Benio’s personality is refreshing, and Benio managers to get a lackey in Ushigo, who transport’s Benio wherever she goes. I thought that Tamaki is an interesting crossdresser, Benio is so well liked by the cast, that even Tenmaru (Shiobu’s white dog) and Chimaru (Shiobu’s black dog) respect and love playing with Benio. Shinobu is a good partner with Benio, that even Shinobu’s mother (she has german heritage) likes Benio right away. Overall, I really enjoyed this movie, and the one hour and thirty-eight minutes just flew by, IMO. I would recommend this movie to fans of shoujo and romance.
